A captured Japanese photograph shows crewmen on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier Zuikaku saluting as the naval ensign is lowered on board the sinking carrier during the Battle of Cape Engano on October 25, 1944. At the time, Zuikaku was the last of the six Japanese carriers to launch the Pearl Harbor attack still operational in the Imperial Japanese Navy.
