31st October 1944, 26 Mosquitoes from the RAF, RAAF and RNZAF launched a devastating precision strike against Gestapo Headquarters in Aarhus University, Denmark.The image (showing bombs dropping) was taken by a Mosquito from the RAF’s Film Production Unit. Although there were civilian casualties, the attack was so effective that the Gestapo were effectively neutralised in the Jutland peninsula and surrounding area for the remainder of the war.
